Product description

The SureFlap DualScan cat door is a battery-powered door with a microchip that only allows your cat to enter! No need to use a collar to enter. You can set the door up for up to 32 cats and set individual access for each. You can use it with the help of a collar tag, or with the help of a microchip, which is applied to the cat by the vet. We recommend using microchips instead, as they are a more reliable form of identification as they cannot be lost. However, if your pet is not or cannot be microchipped and you decide to use the SureFlap collar tag (not included), always use a collar with a fixed buckle to ensure that the tag is not lost.

The SureFlap Dual Scan cat door is the same size as many other commercially available cat doors, so it can be easily replaced. W 14 x H 12 cm, cut-out requirements for placement: W 16.5 x H 17.1 cm. Total door size 21 x 21 cm. Tunnel depth: 7 cm.

With the SureFlap DualScan door, you always have an awareness of your cat's arrival or departure. This is a practical helper for every cat household! With the DualScan you can set which cat can and cannot go out. The door has a safety programming mode: if your cat accidentally escapes through an open window, for example, he can easily get back home through the door, which opens when he approaches. You can set up to 4 options according to your cat's needs - door always open, always closed, in only, and out only.

Main features:

  • Microchip sensing technology accurately distinguishes between individual pets

  • It reads all commonly used microchip codes - 9, 10, and 15-digit codes most commonly used within the EU. Each pet microchip is associated with owner and address information in the TASS registry to identify lost or stolen pets and medical information.

  • 3 locking options: Free entry, blocked exit - the pet goes in through the door, after which it remains locked; Free exit, blocked entrance - the pet is free to go out, but the entrance remains locked; Full locking of the door for entry and exit

  • Ability to store 32 different IDs - Storing several different IDs in memory is a feature tailored for multiple pet owners. Alternatively, it will also make the home available to your guests' pets when they visit.

  • Manual Settings - The settings can be freely switched from automatic to manual and the microchip reader can be deactivated. The door then operates as normal.

  • Replaceable batteries - Sure Flap operates on 4 AA batteries, which will ensure the operation of the functions for up to 6 months. The battery level is indicated by an LED icon.

Only your pet will be allowed to enter!

The microchip reader distinguishes exactly which pet is entering. Do wild animals from the neighborhood or pets from the neighbors invade your home? The first door linked to the app lets you freely set which pet you let through. The reader reads the microchip ID code and if it differs from your input or the pet is not chipped, the door will lock. The only key is your pet's correct microchip!

Reads all commonly used microchip codes

Within the EU, 9, 10, and 15-digit codes are most commonly used for microchipping. Microchips can be scanned with a reader and the code can be used to identify lost or stolen pets in a central database. The integrated microchip reader in your Pet Door Connect works in the same way, reading all of the above types of codes. It is a very accurate and reliable technology. Is your pet not or cannot be microchipped? Use the microchip tag and simply clip it to your furry friend's collar. Everything will be as it should be! Simply check your pet's microchip compatibility here at the bottom of the page.

4, 8, 12... or 128 paws crossing your threshold?

Up to 128 paws or 32 pets can safely pass through the door. So it doesn't matter if you have a single companion or a breeding station. The reader remembers up to 32 different IDs in memory for the safe passage of all pets. You can set the mode for each one individually. The high memory is also handy for keeping your guests' pets moving freely during their visit.

Do you still need to know how the pet gets used to the door and then it's decided?

Training will be fun and won't take too much time. Just focus on their natural curiosity and also the sweet tooth of your four-legged friends. Put the door in the space and call your pet. Place a few treats in the passageway and praise, praise and praise the animal for every progress! Well done! As it passes back and forth, the joy will be doubled. The same process can be repeated after installing the door so your furry friend knows which way the path leads.

How does the microchip work?

  • The animal is microchipped by a veterinarian. The chip is implanted in the animal's shoulder and, together with the animal's name and address, registered in the animal registry. A doctor equipped with a scanner can then read the number of the implanted chip and can identify the owner of the animal.

  • At the push of a button, the SureFlap door stores your cat's identification number. The door will only open for pets that have the programmed chip activated. This prevents other unwanted visitors from entering!

  • The sensor that is used to read your cat's chip is located inside the tunnel - allowing the chip to be recognized even at a greater distance, for example, if the cat's chip should shift. The door opens in a fraction of a second and locks automatically about 1 second after your cat passes through the door. The SureFlap door has a manual "classic" 4-position lock that disables the chip lock when activated.

SureFlap Dual Scan cat door setup

In which door can I install the SureFlap dog door?

  • The SureFlap dog door can be easily installed in all types of doors. If you install them in a glass door, you must purchase an additional extension. This extension can also be used if you have a larger hole left in the door from a previous door. It is also possible to fit the door into a double-glazed door. Precise installation instructions are included in the manual you receive with the door.
  • For installation in doors with metal plates or a metal core, the installation instructions (instructions included in the package) should be read carefully, as the metal may affect the sensor's ability to detect the chip. If installed correctly, there is no limitation.
