The pulse strength setting offers an incredible 127 degrees, meaning that the individual transitions between levels are smooth and allow you to fine tune the alert for your dog extremely finely. Change the pulse strength at any time using the rotary dial on the transmitter.
The option to choose a long pulse to alert you will insure you in unexpected crisis situations when the dog gets carried away by instincts and e.g. goes after game, another dog or heads for the road. The long pulse is more forceful and will stop the dog if it does not respond to the normally effective correction level. A safety fuse ensures that the long pulse never exceeds 8 seconds regardless of the time the button is pressed.
Both the collar and the transmitter are rechargeable and boast very good battery life - up to several days with normal use. The Dogtra 1200S has an ergonomically designed transmitter with LCD display and very responsive button controls for each function separately.
