Information on the status of goods

1) Unpacked

The device is only unpacked, or the packaging has been damaged and has therefore been repackaged in non-original packaging. The item has never been used.

2) Used

The item has been used as a demonstration, in a shop, or has been exchanged by the customer within a few days. It may not have original packaging, at most a few light scuffs.

3) Lightly used

The device has been used for 5 - 15 days, there are already visible claw scratches.

4) Heavily used

The device has been used for 15 to 40 days, there are very noticeable scratches or teeth marks. It can be serviced, refurbished.

The warranty period for the "new" or "unwrapped" condition is the same as for new goods, the warranty period for the "lightly used" condition is 12 months, the warranty period for the "heavily used" condition is 6 months. Goods can be exchanged or returned within 30 days. Always include complete accessories unless otherwise stated.

The PetSafe anti-bark box is a unit that uses ultrasound to prevent barking. The anti-bark box is activated when the built-in microphone picks up incessant dog barking within a range of 15 metres. The device sends a two-second ultrasonic signal that only the dog can hear (frequency 20kHz, correction of about 120dB inaudible to humans). The emitted ultrasound should be unpleasant enough for the barking dog to stop barking. The device is suitable for outdoor use and is fully waterproof. Suitable for hanging in the garden (on a tree, fence etc.) The static unit helps to discourage excessive barking. It is suitable for most but not all dogs.

Do not use on dogs that have hearing problems. The device should only be used at times when you do not wish the dog to bark, as some dogs will develop a certain 'insensitivity' to ultrasound after time of constant use of the device and so the dog may become totally immune to the device. If your dog does not respond to the anti-bark unit, we recommend purchasing one of the anti-bark collars. 

Range

The range of the PetSafe anti-bark box is adjustable. You can set it to 4, 9 or 15 metres. The device is suitable for the garden and should be placed as close as possible to the barking dog, where the dog most often barks (by the door, window... etc.).

Type of correction 

The PetSafe anti-bark box has the possibility to use an ultrasonic signal as a correction, which is only audible to dogs, not to humans.

Batteries and charging

The PetSafe anti-bark box is powered by a standard 9V battery, which is not included. The battery should last approximately 2000 runs. 

Waterproofing

The PetSafe birdhouse is waterproof only. You can hang it on a table, or on a tree or fence.

Number of dogs

The PetSafe anti-bark unit emits ultrasound, so it is suitable for one dog or for multiple dogs weighing from 3.6 kg.
