The Dog Silencer MAX ultrasonic anti-barking unit is one of the best-selling on the market and offers the longest range of up to 100 metres and 40% stronger sound than its predecessor, the Dog Silencer. If the unit is within range of a barking dog, the built-in microphone picks up the sound and the device activates automatically. The unit works on the principle of ultrasound (i.e. high-frequency sound), which only dogs can hear and is inaudible to most people. Startled by the high-pitched tone, which is safe and effective, the dog stops barking and the ultrasonic tone switches off. Dog Silencer has 3 intensity levels (low, medium and high + test mode), which you can easily set by turning the dial on the side of the unit. The anti-barking unit is effective up to 100 metres and detects barking at a distance of around 23 metres. If the dog is further than 23 metres away, the unit can be activated using the remote control. Dog Silencer is powered via a USB cable or 6x AA batteries, which last 4–5 weeks in operation. The remote control uses a CR2032 battery. The device is designed for outdoor use, is weather-resistant and water-resistant with an IPX4 rating. Using the Dog Silencer mount, you can attach the unit to a tree or wall and aim the speaker towards the problem area.

What is ultrasonic sound?

Ultrasonic sounds are frequencies that are higher than the range of human hearing. This makes them a safe and effective tool for dog training. However, sound from the Dog Silencer does not pass through walls or around corners. If the dog is close to the anti-barking unit, you can adjust the microphone sensitivity to pick up howling or even whining.

We do not recommend using Dog Silencer with puppies under one year old.
